Yoga blocks are an excellent prop to support your yoga practice. They can help beginners to learn the alignment of a pose, as well as develop and deepen a pose for seasoned practitioners.
When choosing the type of block, you may consider weight and portability. Ranging between 3" - 4" in thickness, wooden blocks are most substantial and sturdiest, where cork blocks are mid-weight while providing an ample amount of support. The most popular are foam blocks, being both lightweight and versatile for any style of practice.
Yoga blocks are optional in many of our classes; our teachers often suggest other options if you do not have any yoga blocks.
